My Super Personal New Years Resolutions

By  |

I’m a strong believer in the fact that you don’t have to wait until new years day until you can start your resolution. I like to start mine before, just to get ahead of the world. I’m sure i’m not alone in doing this?

I know it’s hard over the Christmas holidays to say no to that extra chocolate when all you want to do is eat it but, if you can conquer saying no before new years day, I just always feel like it is always easier to say no for the whole year!

Anyway, whatever you choose to do or give up for 2016 let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear all about yours.

I don’t often give up certain foods or decide to go on diets because I don’t feel like they’re things I want to necessarily change. If I want to go on a diet i’ll do it tomorrow, I don’t want everybody to know i’m planning on losing a stone by Easter!

So, for the last few years I have been making real things to stick to. A few years ago, I think it was 2014 I decided to be more honest and tell people when I didn’t like something, it worked and I stuck to it and now if I ever feel like i’m not being honest or I don’t like somebody I just remove myself from the situation.

Last year I decided to be kinder towards my family. I wasn’t necessarily horrible to them at all but, I just wanted to see what I could do in a year to make a difference and it’s actually improved our relationships so much.

This year…

This year is going to be a little different. I wasn’t too sure what I wanted my new years resolution to be. I thought long and hard about becoming more of an activist, only wearing makeup on occasion (as if!) but, none of that felt good enough.

I then looked back and what I had achieved these past few months and that’s when my new years resolution hit me…

This year I am going to focus entirely on my job. I love what I do and only after a few months my blog has grown and grown in to something so precious to me. I plan on releasing some products within the year and even moving to Thailand for a few months with my boyfriend.

Aside from work i’m going to focus on my Vegetarianism. I’ve been a vegetarian since August 2015. I always wanted to take the leap since I was small but, not knowing how to cook and coming from a family of meat eaters it was always incredibly difficult.

When I first decided to become a vegetarian I thought my family would laugh and roll their eyes and although their has been a little eye rolling, they’ve been amazing. I’m a super fussy eater anyway so, becoming a vegetarian didn’t really change anything in that sense!

I have loved every single minute of  it and I don’t regret my decision whatsoever. I originally was going to see how it went and even swore I would eat chicken again but now, there is no way I could.

I feel so much healthier and overall amazing for it. I didn’t eat much meat anyway so, I don’t miss it at all! I just love this lifestyle and hopefully 2016 I won’t make any mistakes and i’ll hopefully learn how to cook even more vegetarian meals!

So, in a nutshell my New years resolution for 2016 is to focus on my job and to continue on my vegetarian journey.
