The Best/Worst Beach Wave Sprays Right Now
I love the ‘just rolled off the beach and haven’t brushed my hair all day, curly, salty messy hair’ kind of look. Surprisingly however it is quite hard to achieve. My hair tends to end up in knots that couldn’t be undone by bear grylls and seaweed hiding away that I find days later. I found out there was such a thing as a ‘beach wave spray’, this meant I no longer had to burn all day in the sun to try and achieve a look I never can.
The bad news is whilst looking for the right spray, I came across some pretty dreadful ones. Luckily for you, you now won’t have to waste your money on the ones that don’t work.
I will begin with the sprays that were good and did amazing things to my head.
1 # KMS California Hair Play Sea Salt Spray

This is fab because it gives a ‘dry’ effect to your hair as well as effortless beachy waves. I hate the glossy look some of the sea salt sprays can give but the KMS hair play just isn’t like that. It’s what we all want from the beach, in a bottle. (Excluding the hunky lifeguard).
2 # Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray

Toni & Guy will forever be one of my favorite hair brands. So there is no doubt their ‘Casual Sea salt spray’ made it in to my best beach hair products. It smells AMAZING and gives off great volume as well as a natural, just rolled off the beach look.
3 # Fudge Salt Spray

Out of all of them this one smells the best. It has a summery sort of fragrance and it also protects against UV rays, something we all forget about when it comes to our hair. Another thing Fudge has is pro vitamin B which strengthens and conditions the hair. Great or what?
4 # Bumble and bumble Surf Spray

I love bumble and bumble but unfortunately they are quite expensive. Luckily their salt surf spray is amazing. It contains seaweed which moisturizes your hair as well as making it as ‘sea like’ as possible.
We had the good so now we are going to get on to THE BAD and the ugly. I don’t like calling products out for being ‘rubbish’ but, in this case I just have to warn you. Basically let me waste the money so you don’t have to.
First up we have…
1 # Schwarzkopf Got2b Beach Matt Salt Spray

(No US Link so, you can’t check it our for yourself 🙁 )
This product does not give you a beach matte look. It made my hair greasy and when I finished drying my hair it still looked greasy from the product and quite frankly like I hadn’t brushed it. I normally love Schwarzkopf but, this product is just a massive no no for me.
2 # Hair Styling by L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Matt Messy Shine-Free Salt Spray

Sorry L’oreal but, this was NOT worth it. If i’m honest it didn’t actually do a thing to my hair. It just made it look greasy with a slight kink in all the wrong places. Even if I had liked the kink it quickly disappeared as the product obviously forgot what it was doing and lost all volume and ‘kink’.
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I have heard so many mixed reviews for this product, I just can’t seem to agree with the good ones. It did nothing for my hair, it just kind of sat in it whilst my hair rejected it and refused to work with it. I can’t blame my hair, it knows a bad product when it sees one.
I hope you enjoyed my ‘Best/Worst Beach Sprays Right Now’ And I hope you don’t waste your money like I did!!!
