What Makeup To Use As A Young Teen

I have literally just left my teens and I can honestly say I haven’t always been good at makeup. I was once ‘that girl’ who wore foundation three shades to light! Yes, light! I wanted to be pale and have a ‘porcelain’ look about myself. Unfortunately, I just looked like Casper the ghost.

That wasn’t my only mistake, oh no. I used to wear eyeliner every single day and not just wear eye liner where it is meant to go but, on every single orifice of my eye. I must of looked horrific.

I have endless stories on what I used to put on my face and even now as a woman I have the odd mishap. I think everyone does, well I hope everyone does!

But fear not I have put together a list of perfect things for you to use as a young teen. All skin types vary and so on but, this is just a basic guide to help you along the way, I hope you enjoy!

Before I begin as a young teen you shouldn’t need foundation, if you are suffering from breakouts or acne it won’t improve it. But, I know how you feel, so that is why I created this list so that you don’t need to have embarrassing mishaps. Just try not to wear makeup everyday, you have your whole life for that!

1 # Foundation 

Foundation is purely to even skin tone and realistically form a smooth base on your face. You don’t actually need it, if you don’t feel there is anything to hide.

When using it to cover acne, it can make the acne worse if you have the wrong foundation and even if you don’t have acne, foundation can clog your pores.

BB cream is a lot lighter than foundation, it just evens out your skin tone without anybody really knowing. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have acne as, it doesn’t have a high coverage. It’s perfect if you’re not really allowed to wear make up to school, just make sure you get the right color!

This foundation doesn’t ‘cake’ which is perfect for anyone at any age. It gives you a really nice finish and if applied correctly there’s no reason for anyone to suspect you have any make  up on.

It’s easy to apply and lasts quite a long time. It provides fairly good coverage and because it’s lightweight if you are prone to breakouts it won’t clog your pores as much as a heavy duty foundation would.

This stuff is designed to fight acne. People are swearing by it, you just have to read the comments left below the product and see for yourself. The acid inside this foundation helps fight against breakouts. It’s also a great, flawless foundation. Absolutely perfect if you have oily skin or suffer from acne.

Finishing powder just helps you keep your make up in place, you can even use it in place of foundation if you don’t really want to wear foundation but want something. Apply it with a powder brush evenly all over your face and your make up should stay in place all day long.

The reason the above eye liner is in brown is because black can be a little harsh especially if you are first trying out make up. It will look exactly the same just a little more subtle and actually a lot better than black!
